Dinner Island


Today we took a drive to Dinner Island with our friend Harold Davis. Our plan was to get the Barred Owls that live in the reserve, located deep in Big Cypress National Preserve. The Owls, however, did not feel like posing today, but it was a very nice day anyway, lots of Eastern Meadowlarks, Red Shouldered Hawks and most of all, Love Bugs!! These covered the cars and took a liking to the air conditioner of the car every time we opened a door or window. There were plenty of Swallow tailed Kites, but you know how these like to check out things from far above. We saw Deer twice and managed a few pics of them too.
